Modul 3 is optimized for 4 openings of identical size in symmetricall arangement. Depending on the sizes of your layout you will get a professional proposal which you can alter in increments of 1/2 millimeter.

We look at all openings as one big opening which will be positioned by the "Type of Opening Position". If you have chosen "A - Opening Centered" they will be placed in the middle otherwise the opening will be increased. In every case you can decide now or later about the gap size.

For increased openings you can insert immediately all prefered sizes. If they are correct our programme will show you the illustrad mount.

It might be easier if our programme makes the first suggestion. Assuming the proposal is 7 cm at the top and 9 cm at the bottom border, but you want 7,5 and 8,5 cm. You can insert both sizes or you insert only one, then delete the contents of the field opposite. This will be calculated automatically by our programme.

What ever you are doing, finally you have to press "Calculate".

The Modul supports designs for 4 openings of identical sizes, symmetrically aranged. You can also use it for similar arangements. Do the basics here and "Change to Modul 5", where all variations are possible.

If backs are requred a selection of different qualities is available at + Back - the selected Backs will have the same sizes of your mounts.

Design Hints

We get often designs where the gap (or the gaps) between the openings has the same size as the borders of the mount. It may not have been considered that later by the framing, some of the border will disappear in the rabbet of the frame. Depending on the kind of frame and its rabbet width this will be 0.5 up to 1.0 cm. Then the distance between the opening is greater than the borders. That is why you should make the gaps a minimum of 1 cm, still better 2 cm, smaller than the border sizes.

Beim linken Entwurf wurde nicht bedacht, dass später beim Einrahmen 0,5 bis 1,0 cm vom PP-Rand im Falz des Rahmens verschwinden, so dass die Stege letztlich größer als die Ränder sind. Die Ausschnitte streben dann nach außen und verlieren ihren Halt im Rahmen.

Dies ist gestalterisch unglücklich. Die Ränder sollten immer größer als der/die Steg/e sein, wie es der rechte Entwurf zeigt.

Mit dem Abstand zwischen zwei Ausschnitten bestimmen Sie die Beziehung der Bilder zueinander. Wählen Sie also einen kleineren wenn die Bilder eine enge Beziehung haben und umgekehrt.

Beachten Sie die minimale Stegbreite von 1 cm haben. Bedenken Sie bitte auch, dass sich dieses Maß auf die Basis des PPs bezieht. Oben ist die Fläche durch die beiden Schrägschnitte kleiner.

Der Verlust ergibt sich aus 2 x PP-Stärke und er ist bei dickeren PPs größer. Lassen Sie uns ein Beispiel berechnen, bei dem die Basis des Stegs 1,0 cm bzw. 10 mm ist. Bei einem PP in 1,4 mm Stärke sind 2 x 1,4 mm, also ca. 3 mm zu subtrahieren und es verbleibt eine Farbsichtfläche von ungefähr 7 mm. Bei einem 3 mm starken PP verbleiben nur noch 4 mm und bei einem 4,4 mm starken PP sogar nur noch 1,2 mm Farbsichtfläche !

In allen Farben können PPs bis 80 x 100 cm  - bei Farben mit dem Zusatz XXL bis 100 x 140 cm - angefertigt werden.
